Dr. Janak Raj initiated the cleanliness campaign by personally sweeping the area, conveying a powerful message about the significance of sanitation. He highlighted that the Manimahesh Yatra transcends mere religious observance, representing a shared duty to maintain cleanliness and order. Over 200 toilets are being constructed along the pilgrimage path, and the MLA closely monitored the development of these crucial facilities.
Review of Essential Services
During his inspection, Dr. Janak Raj evaluated the arrangements for drinking water, medical assistance, sanitation, security, and accommodation. He instructed the district administration to prioritize the safety and comfort of pilgrims, emphasizing that any negligence would be unacceptable.
Vigilance on All Fronts
The MLA also visited significant points along the pilgrimage route, discussing plans for community kitchens (langars), first aid stations, cleanliness, and traffic management. He urged all departments to remain vigilant and responsive throughout the yatra.
Dr. Janak Raj’s active participation has sparked enthusiasm among locals and volunteers, fostering a spirit of cooperation and discipline in anticipation of the spiritual journey to the sacred Manimahesh Lake, nestled in the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas.
